Golden Sands with AECP All About Layering 2

Updated: Jun 3, 2021

Desert Sands

I have been stamping my heart out with Altenew's layering stamps. I think is quite a meditative experience as it initiates concentration & repetitiveness and yes, who doesn't enjoy creating a thing of beauty!

I am very glad to be a part of Altenew Academy because it is making me very diligent and precise with my stamping skills. It also helps me stretch my imagination. I consciously try to use a color palette inspired by my surroundings.

The Thar

My Inspiration

I picked up the beautiful chromatic shades of the golden brown desert and the black shadows they cast.

Altenew had the perfect color palette for my arid inspiration-Delectable Delights , Coffee Break and Warm & Cozy.

An array of techniques have been used in this series- multi-level stamping, masking. embossing, three dimensional, background water coloring.

For this showcase,-Altenew's Peony Bouquet Stamp & Die Bundle has been used along with Mega Brush Alpha Stamp Set and Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set.

Also, locally sourced golden & white pearls, sequence and rust handmade paper is in play.

The main card, was stamped with the multi-level stamps using the stamping guide available on Altenew's website. For the sentiment was stamped perfectly Obsidian Pigment Ink and MISTI stamping tool. To finish off, the card was mounted on golden cardstock and glued on a black card. Finally tiny white pearls were glued on for the finishing effect.

A big shoutout t0 Nicole Picadura for putting together this amazing class at Altenew Academy.

That is for now! Thanks for stopping by. Have a creative day!
