Just Across with AECP All About Layering - Lesson 4

Feeling Blue? Just Stamp it Out

All About Layering

Lesson 4

I just went bonkers with this class & landed up using 3 different stamp sets to create projects with the techniques.

In this AECP process I am really enjoying the fact that the techniques which I was using just by way, now I am using consciously. I like to make informed choices & believe that focused awareness can lift our skills in the long term.

As usual, I like to follow Nicole as closely as I can, for the main show case card, using her color combination. I have also used the smaller filler flowers from the Garden Treasure Stamp Set. It is so amazing to make a full card just from these tiny stamps. Altenew stamps are so very versatile. Have you used any filler flowers to make an independent card? Just try it.

For my other two gallery projects, my inspiration are pop colors. I was very happy how these cards turned out. They have a summer pop feel about them.

Card Process Overview

Guidelines:- Diagonal corner layout, 3 dimensional element, multi step stamping.

For these projects, Altenew's Garden Treasure Stamp Set was used. The color combination, placement and technique mirrors the tutorial. Some of the smaller flowers were used to fill the gaps. I have consciously chosen outline stamps to give a break to the cluster of images. The stamps easily lined up with the help of the layering guide available on the website. The flower centers were highlighted with a white ink pen. The sentiments were stamped with Altenew's Obsidian Pigment Ink to get a super crisp image & are from other Altenew stamp sets.

On either corners a darker flower and a few leaves were propped with foam tape to give a dimensional look.

To finish off, the cards were mounted on pearl white card stock with tissue tape.

For the other gallery cards Majestic Bloom Stamp Set & A Study in Watercolor Stamp Set were used. These have been embellished with flat bottomed pearls. After all who doesn't like a pearl?!
